She is one
Today my daughter was born. She is one.
She is a gift, a blessing and a source of a joy I never knew existed.
Her arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter in our lives, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories waiting to be made.
Holding her in my arms, I am filled with a profound sense of responsibility and a desire to nurture and protect her.
I am committed to being the best parent I can be, guiding her through life's challenges and celebrating her triumphs.
But specially teaching and cultivating her love for God, leading her to a life of faith, hope, and compassion.
The father that I did not have.
When I was a child, I did not have a present father in my life.
My mom did the best she could to raise me, with the help of my grandparents too.
But I always felt the absence of a father figure, someone to guide me, support me, and share in my joys and sorrows.
However, my story is not a story of abandonment or neglect, God granted me a loving mother and grandparents who filled my life with care and affection. And their teachings, values and fait, helped me grow and form in my mind and heart the desire to be a good and present father one day.
I am better today for all the effort they did.
And their support and love is a souce of strength that affects me and my daughter's life too.
Our effect and value
We are not isolated beings, our existance is the result of infinitesimal interactions and decisions that lead us to be here, the instinct of our species, our ancestors drive to proceate and all the love and care of our immediate family and ancestors that made us who we are today.
I wander and I hope my daughter will continue this legacy of unbroken decisions, will and love.
As Catholic, I belive in a future, a good one, where I have to put the effort and work for it, and I have the hope that this will bear fruit.
She's just one, today, but my God, I've changed for good, I'm here and I'm present... and it's wonderful.
